1. Appreciation of the idea of time and the need to measure it.
2. Measurement oftime using periodic events.
3. Idea of speed of moving objects – slow and fast motion alonga straight line.
4. Observing and analysing the motion (slow or fast) of common objects onland, in air, water and space.
5. Measuring the distance covered by objects moving on aroad in a given time and calculating their speeds.
6. Plotting distance vs. time graphs foruniform motion.
7. Measuring the time taken by moving objects to cover a given distanceand calculating their speeds.
8. Constancy of the time period of a pendulum.
